Bumpin' Uglies Boise Concert reviews
George Thorogood & The Destroyers ( GT & D)
I loved seeing Bumpin' Uglies for the first time! They were rockin' and personable. The Destroyers rhythm guitarist, Jim Suhler, opened with his band "The Monkey Beat" and played 4 great Texas-style rock songs and ballads that really loosened up the crowd. Bumpin' Uglies is the epitome of a classic rock and roller. Bumpin' Uglies emerged after a 15 minute delay, opened with "Sweet Little Rock and Roller" off their new album, then followed with "Who Do You Love", "Seventh Son", "I Drink Alone", "Bad to The Bone", "One Bourbon, One Scotch and One Beer", then went right into "Gear Jammer" without skipping a beat. They played a ballad that I didn't know, then finished the set with "Move it On Over" all the while talking and interacting with the crowd. The lucky front row people came out for the requisite encore. It was a great show and a great venue! I've always been a big fan of Bumpin' Uglies and I'm glad I went.
